Any field not in the form is preserved unchanged in the file.

Any field not shown in the editor UI, custom X- properties, iCloud item-prefixed fields, social profiles, SOUND or LOGO, is preserved verbatim. The output is accepted by iCloud, Google Contacts, Outlook, Android and all other standards-compliant contacts apps.

Univik VCF Editor reads VCF files from all major sources including iCloud (including group-prefixed properties in item1.EMAIL format), Google Contacts, Microsoft Outlook, Android (Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi), WhatsApp and Skype. It handles vCard 2.1 Quoted-Printable encoding used by older Android devices, and all encoding variants used across vCard 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0 files. If the file is a valid VCF, this editor can read and edit it.

Open the contact in the Edit form and click the photo area. Browse to a JPEG, PNG, GIF or BMP file. The editor automatically resizes the image to 400x400 pixels and encodes it correctly for the output vCard version you have selected. To remove an existing photo, click the remove option in the photo section. No external image editing is needed, the resizing, format conversion and Base64 encoding are all handled automatically.

Yes. Each contact can have as many phone numbers and email addresses as needed. Each phone entry has its own type selector (Cell, Home, Work, Fax, Other) and each email has a type label (Home, Work, Other). Add new entries with the Add button, remove any entry individually, and reorder them. All entries are saved correctly to the VCF file with their type labels intact.

Yes. Univik VCF Editor includes a built-in Find Duplicates scan. Run it and all contacts matched as duplicates by phone number, email address, full name or UID are colour-coded in the contact list so you can see every duplicate group at a glance. The richest contact in each group is marked as the one to keep. Review the groups before saving. This is a useful cleanup step before exporting an edited VCF to a phone or CRM.

Univik VCF Editor reads vCard 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0 files. On save, you choose the output version: vCard 4.0 (RFC 6350), vCard 3.0 (RFC 2426, recommended for maximum compatibility) or vCard 2.1 (original specification, for legacy devices). The output version is independent of the input, so you can load a vCard 2.1 file and save it as vCard 4.0 to modernise it for a new app.
