Univik Mail Assure Viewer

No. Once you have downloaded the EML ZIP export from the Mail Assure admin panel or per-user Spam Quarantine portal, the viewer works completely offline on any Windows PC. No Mail Assure client, N-able software, internet connection or portal login is required. The viewer reads the EML files inside the ZIP directly.

The viewer opens: (1) Mail Assure EML ZIP archives exported from the admin panel (both inbound and outbound); (2) per-user EML ZIP archives exported from the Mail Assure Spam Quarantine portal; (3) individual EML files — drag and drop one or multiple EML files directly onto the viewer. All three formats display the full message body, attachments and RFC 5322 headers including all Mail Assure X-headers.

Yes — this is one of the viewer's key capabilities. Click the Headers tab in the message preview panel to see the full RFC 5322 header block. All Mail Assure-specific headers are displayed: X-SPAMFILTER-UIDL (Mail Assure message ID), X-Recommended-Action (deliver, quarantine, reject), numeric spam score fields, SPF pass/fail, DKIM signature status, DMARC result and the full Received header chain showing every routing hop. The Copy All Headers button copies the entire header block to the clipboard.

Admin export: Log into the Mail Assure admin panel, go to Incoming or Outgoing Log, filter by user, domain or date range, select the messages and click Export to EML. A download link is emailed or shown on screen. Download the ZIP promptly — links expire in 7–30 days depending on your admin's configuration.

Per-user export: Log into the Mail Assure Spam Quarantine portal, browse your archive, select messages and click Export. Download the resulting ZIP. See the full guide at How to Export from Mail Assure.

Yes, this is by design. Mail Assure stores inbound and outbound email in separate log databases and exports them as separate archives (or as separate top-level folders within a combined ZIP). The viewer preserves this split, showing inbound and outbound as distinct folders in the navigation panel. This reflects the actual Mail Assure architecture and makes it easy to search within a single direction without cross-contamination from the other.

Yes. Right-click any message in the message list and select Save as EML to extract it as a standalone EML file to any folder on your machine. EML files open directly in Outlook, Thunderbird or any RFC 5322-compliant email client. You can also use the Print to PDF option in the toolbar to save the rendered message as a PDF for reference or sharing.

The viewer is a free, read-only tool for browsing and reading Mail Assure EML ZIP archives. It lets you open archives, search messages, preview email body and headers, and save individual messages as EML files. It does not perform bulk format conversion.

The Mail Assure Converter is a paid tool ($29 personal, $99 business) that converts entire Mail Assure EML ZIP archives to PST, MBOX, MSG, PDF, HTML and 10+ other formats for Outlook import, Google Workspace migration, eDiscovery productions and long-term compliance archiving. Use the viewer first to inspect your archive; use the converter when you need bulk output in a different format.

Yes. Click any message and open the Attachments tab to see all attached files listed with name, type and size. Common attachment types preview inline: PDF pages render in the built-in viewer, images (JPG, PNG, GIF) display directly, and plain-text files (TXT, CSV, XML) are shown as readable text. Office documents (DOCX, XLSX) and other types are listed but require saving to disk and opening in the appropriate application.
