Univik Email Migration Software

Email migration software transfers the contents of one live email account into another live email account: messages, folders, attachments and their dates, moving directly between the two mail servers.

You sign in to the source, sign in to the destination, map the folders and the tool carries everything across. Univik Email Migration Software does this between any two services, from a single Gmail move to a full company tenant migration.

ProtonMail joins through ProtonMail Bridge. If a service speaks IMAP, it can sit on either side of the move.

No. This is a zero downtime migration: both accounts stay fully usable the whole time. The migrator copies mail in the background while you keep sending and receiving on the old address. When the first pass finishes, delta passes carry over anything that arrived in the meantime. You switch to the new account on your own schedule, after the counts confirm everything is across.

A large mailbox takes hours or days to copy while new mail keeps arriving the whole time. A delta pass re-scans the source and migrates only what appeared since the last pass, finishing in minutes. Run the big pass during the week, a delta pass at cutover and the destination is complete to the minute you switch. Without delta sync, everything that arrived mid-migration is stranded on the old account.

Yes. Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com authenticate through their own official sign-in windows, so 2FA is handled by the provider and no password is stored in the software. Yahoo, iCloud, Zoho and most other services issue app passwords from their security settings, made exactly for tools like this. Short in-app guides cover the major providers.

After both accounts connect, the tool proposes a one-to-one mapping of your source folders to the destination. You can accept it as is, point folders somewhere else, merge several into one or rename them on the way across. Consolidating accounts becomes clean: each old account can land under its own top-level folder in the new mailbox.

The honest answer: it depends on mailbox size and how fast the two servers will go. Small accounts finish in under an hour. A 30 GB mailbox typically runs several hours to a day, because providers like Gmail and Microsoft 365 throttle heavy transfers on purpose. The migrator paces itself around those limits and runs mailboxes concurrently. The pre-migration analysis tells you the size of the job before you start.

Yes. Load a CSV of source and destination pairs, one row per mailbox with each side's address and password or app password. The tool runs them as one project, several mailboxes in parallel, each with its own progress line and report. This is how platform changes, tenant moves and company merges get done: the batch runs through the list while the delta passes keep every mailbox current until cutover day.

No. Messages arrive with their original sent and received dates, senders, recipients, full headers, attachments and read states. Sent, Drafts and archive folders make the trip too and Gmail labels arrive as folders, since that is how Gmail presents them. The destination account reads as if the mail had always lived there. The final report compares source and destination counts mailbox by mailbox, so you can check the claim yourself.

The software moves mailbox content. Pointing your domain at the new provider is a separate DNS step: you update the MX records in your domain's DNS settings so new mail flows to the new platform. The usual order is: migrate the bulk, update MX, then run a final delta pass on the old account to catch anything that arrived during DNS propagation. The in-app guide walks through that sequence.

Nothing is lost. The source account is only ever read, never modified, so your original mail is untouched no matter what. Restart the job and duplicate detection skips everything already migrated, resuming from where things stopped instead of copying the mailbox twice.

No. The difference matters. Migration moves mail into another live account you will use going forward. Backup downloads mail to files on your own drive for keeping. Many people do both around a move: migrate to the new account, then keep an independent local copy with the Univik Email Backup Software. This tool migrates mailbox content: every email, folder and attachment, which is what moves over the IMAP connection the two servers share. Contacts and calendars live in separate systems on each platform and travel separately: export contacts as a vCard file and calendars as an ICS file from the old service, then import both into the new one. Every major provider offers those export and import options in its settings and the whole step usually takes minutes.

A cutover migration moves everyone at once: migrate all mailboxes, switch the domain, done. It suits smaller organizations that can change in one step. A staged migration moves mailboxes in batches over weeks, useful when hundreds of accounts or several offices are involved. This software runs either plan: CSV batch mode handles the whole company in one cutover project or one batch at a time, while delta passes keep every migrated mailbox current until its owner switches. One planning tip either way: check that the destination plan has enough storage for the largest mailboxes before you start.

Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7 (32 and 64-bit) plus Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016 and 2012. 4 GB RAM minimum with 8 GB recommended for concurrent batch runs and 250 MB disk space. .NET Framework 4.8 or higher is required and comes preinstalled on Windows 10 and 11. The software is standalone with no Outlook or other mail client required. An internet connection is needed on both sides, since mail moves directly between the two servers.

The trial is the full email migration application with one limit: it migrates the first 25 emails per folder. Connect your real source and destination, test the folder mapping and check the results in the new account before spending anything.
