A verizon.net address is now an AOL mailbox wearing a Verizon name, which explains every odd thing on this page.
Verizon decided in 2017 to stop running email and to concentrate on internet and television instead. Rather than close the addresses, it moved them onto AOL's platform, which was a sister company by then. Customers who acted kept their address.
